Minimum wage increased to $11.60

By October 10, 2017November 5th, 2019Employment Law

As we regularly mention on the DMC Blog, minimum wage in Ontario was increased to $11.60 per hour on October 1.

This is a regular increase that has been scheduled for a while; and it is not to be confused with the current proposal to increase the minimum wage a whopping 21% in 3 months to $14, and then an additional 8% to $15.

This of course means that now is a great time to review your current employment terms with your team members and make sure you are staying competitive in the dental market. If you do not have employment contracts with your team, giving a raise is a great time to have your employees on a contract!
