This month the Ministry of Labour released its newest Employment Standards Act (ESA) Poster.
If you own your practice, you need to download this new poster. As an employer, the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) requires you to provide this updated poster to each of your employees and post it in a prominent place in the office. The poster displays particular rights and responsibilities of employers and employees in Ontario, including available leaves of absence, minimum and vacation pay rates and hours of work.
The new ESA poster coincides with the recent changes to the labour laws the Government of Ontario has made, including the IDEL extension. For more information about these changes, check out this previous post.
Here is what the new ESA poster looks like:
Make sure you update your office’s ESA poster and provide employees with the new one! You can also download the latest poster in additional languages here on Ontario.ca.
